âIâM FLEXIBLE,â Robin said as they carried the targets from his truck to the
far side of the archery range.
âI just want to make sure youâre okay with having dinner with the belly
dancers,â John said.
âThey seem like nice gals.â Robin set the target down. Unloading was
going much faster than he expected. He normally did this part by himself,
since his crew varied from fair to fair. He didnât know anyone locally, but
there were always folks at the festivals looking for work at the vendors and
games, so he should be able to find some help in the next day or two, hopefully before opening day on Saturday. âThey are.â John set his target down and wiped a hand across his forehead. âYou donât mind if I take my shirt off, do you? Itâll be a little cooler.â
âOf course not,â Robin replied. âWhatever makes you comfortable.â He didnât add that it would give him more time to enjoy the sight of Johnâs muscular body. Their night together in the hotel was something he couldnât wait to repeat. Heâd almost been afraid John was going to be a bit withdrawn this morning, but so far, he was more relaxed than ever.
John pulled his T-shirt off and wiped his forehead again. He glanced up at the sun high in the clear sky. âI better not leave it off too long. Iâd hate to start fair with a sunburn.â
Robin sighed softly at the sight of the strong muscles heâd enjoyed the previous night. âI donât want anything to interfere with being able to touch you,â he said before pulling off his shirt. A hint of a breeze ran through his chest hair, not enough to cool, only a tease of relief. âThis is a good idea. Weâve got a bit of building to do the next couple of days, so we might pick up some sunscreen tonight.â
âNot a bad thought.â John nodded. âParticularly if you need help lathering it onto your back.â He smiled.
âI was about to offer that myself.â Robin laughed. âItâs good to know weâre on the same page.â
âAnything that lets me touch you more is a good thing.â John dropped his voice.
Robin nodded as they walked the short distance back toward the truck. âThis shouldnât take too much longer. Youâre being a great help.â
âThanks, I like being helpful.â
âSo have you given any more thought to just setting up one tent?â Robin asked. Theyâd talked about it after they woke up that morning, before they hit the road.
John sighed. âIâve been thinking. I slept better last night than I have in a long time. I just donât know if it would be moving a bit faster than Iâm ready for.â
âI donât want to rush things,â Robin said. He was still shocked that they had even talked about it earlier. It was something heâd never talked to anyone about before. Heâd never even thought about moving in with another guy. And he knew the subject was a touchy one with John, but somehow, it just felt right.
